Drama review: Bring It On, Ghost (2016)

Bring It On, Ghost

Actors like Ok Taec Yeon (Dream High(2011), Kim So Hyun (Page Turner(2016) and Kwon Yool (One More Happy Ending(2016), and others are part of this tvN production. This drama is a horror themed 16 episode long romcom with a duration of 60 minutes in each episode.

The story centers around a college student named Bong Pal who is able to see, hear and fight ghosts due to an incident that happened long ago. Bong Pal's biggest wish is to live life as a regular college student; he wishes to give up his powers and decides to work "part-time" as a ghost hunter, collecting money beating ghosts and making them wander to the "other side", all to fulfill his dream. His dearest friend monk Myung Chul does not approve of this and tries to talk him out of it. When Bong Pal gets a phone call from a person claiming that a high school is haunted, he sets out to finish said ghost; little did he know he would soon meet a special girl ghost named Hyun Ji.

The villain were portrayed exceptionally good. The acting was so well that you actually started to hate said person after some time even though they might be a sweet and caring person off screen.
Kim So Hyun plays the role as a high school girl convincingly, and her portrayal of her character is on point.
Even though some people found the romance between Bong Pal and Hyun Ji cringe worthy I shipped it and I would gladly do so again. I found their chemistry adorable and honestly I could not get enough of it.

The special effects used in this drama make the ghosts look frightening, and many of them looks like something taken from a nightmare. Absolutely stunning work. This drama is simply a work of art.

This drama was defiantly my cup of tea, each scene balanced out supernatural scenes with shots of the main characters daily life nicely. For me none of the episodes became boring, because each episode were unique in their own way. When things were getting a bit dark the production team were smart to even out things with a bit of comedy, this made it possible for me to watch some of the episodes at night, but I do not recommend doing so if you get scared easily. I give this drama a 10/10, this is not a biased score, just my opinion and I do believe this is worth a watch if you are into supernatural stuff like myself.

Taegukgi 태극기 (Meaning: Taeguk flag)

The South Korean flag, also known as the Taegukgi. Consist of three different parts; the rectangular white background, the red and blue Taeguk placed in the center, and four different trigrams (selected from the original eight (Chinese: Bagua)) placed in each corner of the flag. The background has a white colour, which is a Korean traditional colour. The colour white represents peace and purity. Taeguk is the blue and red circle found in the center of the flag. The upper half circle, red, of Taeguk means yang and the lower half circle, blue, means yin. This symbol comes from the philosophy of yin and yang, and represents the balance of the universe. Because the taeguk is associated with the national flag of South Korea, it is often used as a patriotic symbol, as are the colors red, blue and black. The four trigrams together represents the principle of movement and harmony. Each trigram represent one of the four elements; earth, water, air and fire. Each trigram consist of th
